2010: a year in haiku

(more about this sequence at my poetry blog)

After a long night
of shell-shards and glaire, mad-eyed:
the new politics

More apple blossoms;
lithe blackberry’d fingers
mug the air with tweets.

When they are all gone,
the relieved earth; a thick rot
of flyers and leaves.

A deparature lounge
left hanging; outside, white planes,
frozen to the ground.
