Glyphsprache is a picture-language for writing poetry. It was made with Bleeptrack for the games and play festivals Now Play This (London) and A MAZE (Berlin).
Glyphsprache is interactive and crowdsourced, using a website where anyone can submit a new word and anyone can write a poem. As a language, it’s oligoisolating, which means it’s made of of a very few uninflected words, and grammar-free, meaning you get to decide what the position of words means. That makes for strange and beautiful poetry.
Here’s a Shakespeare sonnet translated into Glyphsprache, free for you to download and print.
